Shula and Alistair are being driven mad by his father.
Radio Times: The Professor makes himself at home.
Characters: Alistair, Clarrie, Daniel, Ed, Fallon, Jim, Shula- Alistair’s father is living up to his reputation of being a grumpy git. He is not impressed that Daniel has gone to church – to be indoctrinated. Alistair takes him to task for criticising Shula.
- Fallon is amazed that Clarrie is cooking Sunday lunch on top of all that baking. The fair looms large and Clarrie has given up church today. Fallon enjoyed helping but draws the line at turkey plucking. Fallon explains that Lynda has asked to sing at her concert; she can borrow a PA for the fair.
- Grandpa doesn’t like broccoli – not the ideal example for Daniel. Not content with that, he invites Daniel to justify going to church. The idea of having a go at Daniel’s computer game appeals to Grandpa.
- Ed has been shamed into helping Clarrie but is saved by the arrival of Fallon, come to do a shift in the pie factory.
- Shula and Alistair are keen to go for a walk, Jim and Daniel are not – the computer game beckons. Alone they agree that their guest is driving them mad and cannot be allowed to continue undermining their authority with Daniel.
