Brian agrees to progressing the bio-fuel venture and Kenton makes a hit with Alistair’s dad.

Radio Times: Brian gives Adam the green light.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Brian wonders how things are between Matt and Lilian – he suspects a liaison with Annabel. Adam wants to talk about the future of the farm and Brian agrees, a little grudgingly. He explains to his mother that the idea under discussion is Debbie’s but it will be hard to sell to Brian – rather too radical.
  • Kenton discovers Alistair building a ramp for his father’s wheelchair; his presence is a nightmare; they never got on. Nevertheless Kenton is persuaded to go in and say hello.
  • Adam explains the idea of bio-fuels – and that it is Debbie’s – and that they agree on it. What about the Estate and the Archer clan too? The cost, Adam reveals, is about £1 million – but they would get a 40% grant.
  • Kenton describes his plans to visit Vienna and Jim makes several recommendations; Kenton even persuades him to visit Jaxx later in the week.
  • Adam explains the basic costs and returns, and Brian gives it qualified approval, at least to look at the feasibility. Brian would greatly prefer to keep it in the family; getting into bed with Matt does not appeal.
  • Kenton insists on Jim trying the ramp, even though it isn’t quite finished, and once outside the patient decides to stay for a while. He is impressed with Kenton and therefore amazed that he is Shula’s twin brother – which just about sums up what he thinks of Shula.
