Radio Times: Shula has a shock. Meanwhile, Fallon and Carol are getting ready.

  • Oliver offers to continue to rent the Grange Farm land to Ed. A kind offer, but Ed doesn’t think he can make it pay. Oliver suggests a beef herd – far less work and administration than dairy. Ed will give it some thought.
  • Shula comes to see Oliver after receiving a call from the police. The hunt saboteur assaulted by Rob has made an allegation and Shula has been asked to make a statement. Oliver insists on accompanying Shula to the police station. Rob is already at the station when Shula and Oliver arrive and has been interviewed under caution. Oblivious to Rob’s role in yesterday’s events, Oliver is certain that Rob has his third party witness in Shula, who can vouch for Rob.
  • Fallon is putting the finishing touches to Carol’s 1940s costume. Jennifer’s article in the Echo is attracting a lot of attention and not necessarily all due to the SAVE message. The pair also muse over the fierce bird-watching competition between Robert and Jim, and the lengths they are going to gain the upper hand.
  • Ed gives Joe the good news about staying on at Grange Farm. Finally he feels hopeful again. Joe is delighted for Ed – eventually luck changes for the better.
