The Carter photo-shoot is a fiasco – and it’s not over yet.

Radio Times: Ruth fires a warning shot, and it’s a big day for the Carters.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • It’s gossip time at Brookfield: the infamous still that’s still here; the Lower Loxley Christmas market; Adam’s night out with Ian; Alistair’s decision to go into partnership with Anisha. Jill has a rant about Toby: what does he do all day? Ruth attempts to divert the conversation: maybe the new vet will take Blossom Hill? Pip pops in but gets a frosty reception from her gran; ok, they have got the message about the still. Pip’s cattle go this week; she is upset that she probably will not get chance to put another lot through. Perhaps they could run a similar scheme at Brookfield? Jill suggests that leaving Toby behind would be a good move.
  • Neil and Susan are outside the photographers and all is dark within. They are a bit early but someone should be here. Neil delivers compliments about Susan’s dress. Alice is held up in traffic. Is that rain? Emma and Keira arrive; there’s a bug going round school and Keira looks pale. The photographers call back to say they have overrun on a location shoot and will be late.
  • Jill is in full cry but Pip supports Toby; again Ruth attempts to divert the conversation, again in vain: he breaks promises and hearts, just like his father. After Pip storms out, Ruth suggests that Jill keep out of Pip’s love life but Jill has the last word: Toby is no good and the sooner Pip realises it, the better.
  • The photo-shoot is rescheduled to a week on Monday. Keira wants a carry from grandad but wriggles too much; she is going to be sick just as Susan is showing off the expensive dress that she intends to take back. This could end badly.
