Lilian has worries of her own about how much the divorce proceedings seem to be upsetting Justin. Their conversation is interrupted by Matt’s arrival who offers unsolicited advice on Lilian’s choice of bet, and when she loses, returns to gloat and offer another tip. Unperturbed, Lilian reminds Matt she has not lost her own money – but his.
  • Gem is proving a handful and gives Shula the slip to reach the paddock, preferring the outdoors. She certainly has plenty of spirit. This gives Shula an idea that may help Bartleby and she phones Eddie to ask for his help in hatching a plan to surprise Joe.
