  • Charlie tells Will that he wants him to produce 10 extra days of shooting. Will is very sceptical but Charlie is having none of it. Will complains to Brian who says it is nothing to do with him anymore. He’ll have a word but he doesn’t expect it will do any good.
  • Ruth is still upset about the road route. She is making calls to see what can be done. Jill is very upset too. She’s been picking wild flowers but thinks they may all be gone soon. David tells her not to worry. It’s only one of three possibilities and they are going to fight it. They will need to do a lot of research into the costs and the disruption. No one is going to build a road over Brookfield.
  • Jennifer is shocked too. They’d lose a few acres but Brookfield would be ruined. It could make their whole dairy business unviable. Jennifer is going to join the protest too. Brian is more interested in what is going on with the kitchen. The sink that was put in yesterday has gone again. It’s not even close to being finished.
  • Jill wonders if she is just being a nimby but Jennifer assures her she isn’t. Jill says some things would be lost forever, it could have been the same for hundreds of years and once it’s gone it’s gone. David tells them that Lynda has called an emergency meeting. Opposition must start as soon as possible. Jennifer thinks her anniversary might get in the way.
  • Brian hasn’t booked anything for the anniversary so they agree to go to Lilian’s. Jennifer says she is going to the emergency meeting but Brian has no intention of going. If he knows Justin, he has something to do with the plans and he wants none of it.
