Characters: , , , ,
  • Ursula turns up at Bridge Farm with Henry over her shoulder and in his pyjamas. Ursula claims he scalded his foot so brought him over to give everyone time to calm down. Of course it was Helen’s fault and didn’t put enough cold water in. Helen tried to force him in and Henry started screaming and yelling that he hated his Mummy – despite Rob “trying to calm things down”. Helen was obviously annoyed with herself. Ursula says it’s not the flash of temper that worries her, it’s the forgetfulness. It must be having an effect on Henry. “Hasn’t Helen told you about the bullying of the little girl in his class”? Ursula says they shouldn’t be worried. Pat and Tony say they’ll keep him longer than overnight if necessary. Ursula says Helen couldn’t be in better hands so they have absolutely nothing to worry about.
  • Ed has brought another ferret into the house to clip her claws and Emma isn’t impressed to see it in the bedroom. Ed is still making a fuss about taking the exams. He always messes up on courses. Emma insists he can do it and will be setting a bad example to George and Keira if he doesn’t so he agrees. Emma says they are just like Posh and Becks with careers taking off. And the children are doing well at school – not like Henry. They are quietly talking about what to do for Eddie’s birthday when Emma notices the pillowcase moving. There are two ferrets! Emma is not impressed.
  • Pat is worried that Helen might have slipped back into an eating disorder. Tony tells her she is sure Rob is making sure she is eating. Pat says when they take Henry back in the morning she will sit her down and make her talk. Tony says no, if she wants to talk she will talk. Last time she just pushed them away. He doesn’t know while she does it. Things aren’t too bad at the moment but they mustn’t let them get worse. Tony is insistent that when she wants to see them, they will see her but otherwise they must leave her alone. Rob couldn’t be doing any more for her and she has good friends – Kirsty and Ian. And there is always Ursula. Thank heavens they get on so well.
