• Shula mentions to Brian that the video footage Phil took from the balloon trip (a copy of which she was delivering to Home Farm) shows a square patch of land in one of his barley fields – he admits that its a testing ground for some genetically modified rape and that, while it’s not common knowledge, a notice was put in the Echo recently.
• Usha is glad that Richard is leaving the village, although a little down at the split but not listening to Ruth’s apologies that it was a member of her family that caused the split, admits that the cottage is a good place to have to herself again.
• Kate’s absolutely horrified when she finds that Jennifer allowed Roy to hold Baby and is not open to the idea of conciliation and that, despite the blood test results being due on Tuesday, is going to Wales for a few days.
