Radio Times: Susan fights Neil’s corner, and the Grundys have a seasonal job to do.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Clarrie is plucking the turkeys and not enjoying it. At least Emma is going to provide coffee and soup.
  • William is disappointed that there isn’t a panto and Blithe Spirit isn’t suitable for children. It should be good as long as Lynda and Alice can settle their differences. Alice sees it as a comedy and it’s hard to tell what Lynda thinks. Neil tells William that there is not much change in Tony and Tom is just keeping his head down at the moment. He also points out that Mike and Vicky’s house has the For Sale sign back up again. Maybe the sale has fallen through. Susan is worried that Tom will want to take charge again. Neil says he hasn’t said anything and Tony has promised him a permanent job. But will Tom be okay with that?
  • William turns up at the turkey plucking and Ed manages to say thank you for letting them have No.1 The Green. William says he’s only doing it for George and just about manages to wish them luck on getting married. William is rather shocked to hear that Ed and Eddie have been invited to the shoot as guns by Justin Elliot.
  • Neil confirms that the sale of Willow Farm has fallen through. It will be a while before they find a new buyer at this time of year. Emma is busy packing up and Susan already sounds reluctant to let them go. Neil helps them move and brings them a bottle to help them celebrate. It’s lovely seeing Keira in Emma’s old room. Ed says thank you to Neil and Susan too, for putting up with him.
  • William isn’t looking forward to the shoot. The last one with Justin Elliot was a fiasco and he doesn’t want that happening in front of the neighbours. Ed would never let him hear the end of it.
