Will is stirring up George to hate Ed.
Radio Times: Jennifer and Jess begin to bond, while Clarrie tries to keep the peace.
Characters: Clarrie, Ed, Jennifer, Jess, Joe, William- Jennifer is back from Mauritius. She is chatting to Will and tells him Brian has written to Ed about the Baz shooting incident. Will is grateful. Once Will moves on, Jennifer meets Jess and congratulates her on her new job and invites her over for a chat.
- Clarrie is making a huge fuss over the turkey prep – lots of food and encouraging Ed to stay. But Ed just finds it puzzling (not knowing Will is planning to help). And then Will turns up when Ed still doesn’t know. So yet another squabble. But they manage to calm it down in front of Clarrie. They can manage a nice day together surely.
- Darrell is the talk of the visit at the Grundy’s and also at Home Farm where Jennifer tells Jess about Greg. Jess is horrified to hear that Helen was going out him at the time. Jess tells Jennifer that Rob is keen to move out of Ambridge. Neither Jess nor Jennifer understands why. But Rob has already started looking at houses. Jennifer suggests maybe they should throw a party for people from the village – it might make Rob feel more at home. Jennifer says she will make sure they meet all the right people.
- Ed and Will struggle on during the day but more or less manage to get through it. They nearly come to blows while alone in the shed but Clarrie interrupts just in time and they do agree to enjoying an eggnog together. Clarrie even tells them they’ve been so mature so and they shamefacedly agree, and Clarrie grabs the moment to make sure that they will all be together for Christmas lunch. The reconciliation is slightly spoiled by Will telling Ed that George hates him.
