William loses control.

Radio Times: William loses control.

  • Lizzie’s got the organisation for the forthcoming art exhibition well in hand and is having a great time selecting the pieces.
  • There was a piece in the Echo about how they’re having trouble getting a GP for the surgery and Shula’s a little occupied with the memories it stirred up.
  • William has turned up to bell-ringing and, albeit a little nervously, starts well under Neil’s calm tutelage. Unfortunately he breaks a stay (whatever that means, it seemed to involve letting go of the rope) this is serious enough to warrant cancellation of the practice session so all the ringers went to the pub, with Neil, Alistair and Nigel returning later with a ladder to fix the damage. Apparently, everyone does it and no-one’s angry but William felt awful.
  • Lizzie mentions to Nigel that she’s worried about Julia. She’s developing into a fully fledged pain in the neck, with her interfering around the house, telling customers duff information about Lower Loxley and over playing the importance of the fashion show and her role in it. Lizzie’s also concerned about the number of letters from Spain that have arrived and still not been opened. While she doesn’t suspect that she’s started drinking, she does think that Julia might be in some sort of trouble.
