Working relationships between Jazzer and Johnny are slipping.
Radio Times: Henry has a restless night, while Jazzer takes umbrage.
Characters: Helen, Henry, Jazzer, Johnny, Pat, Rob, Tony- It’s late at night and a restless Henry is being cared for by Rob. Helen joins them, only to be told by Rob to get some rest. He is already up and coping well.
- Johnny helps Jazzer with the pigs. Jazzer clearly feels that the boss’s grandson has a job for life and perhaps is not too happy about it. Pat joins them and asks Johnny if he would like his bedroom redecorated. He doesn’t gush with enthusiasm, being more keen on cleaning the arks, even though Jazzer has promised to attend to it later.
- Helen tells Pat what a star in the nursing stakes Rob has been. They have both received texts from Lynda regarding the increased size of the solar array. Pat still can’t understand Johnny’s lukewarm plans towards her decorating proposals.
- Jazzer is not best pleased by Johnny cleaning the arks on his own and tells him so. It’s all too much and he complains to Tony about the way things are with the new staff. He feels that he might be being squeezed out of a job. Tony tells him that he is totally invaluable and looks to him to help bring Johnny on from a low base. Tony takes Johnny off for tea.
- Tony tries to give a rather naive grandson, feather stroking lessons as far as Jazzer is concerned so that they all get on together. Pat’s paint colour cards eventually elicit the reason for Johnny’s response to the decorating offer… he would rather keep his room the way his father had it… it’s sort of “cool”.
- Rob finds a frazzled Helen at home; she has mislaid an invoice from the shop and needs it urgently. He tells her to go and unwind and he will look after an improving Henry. Later, it transpires that Tina had the invoice at work and had solved the problem with it. Helen thanks Rob for all his help with Henry. Rob advises her to lean more on the very capable Tina, and as far as Henry is concerned… no problem…”it’s what dads do isn’t it”?
