• Caroline’s at the Bull to talk and Kathy leaves her in no doubt as to what she thought of Caroline’s apparent high-handedness.
• In a topical insert Pat’s very pleased with the election results and, in line with many southern provincial areas, South Borsetshire remained Conservative while the LibDems gained Felpersham. Susan’s worried about whether Blair’s Labour party can be trusted.
• Susan’s showing Pat a business unit and, while Pat is impressed, Graham arrives and points out the inadequacies, chastising Susan for wasting Pat’s time.
• Lizzie is at Grey Gables to talk about a conference to Caroline, but they end up discussing Nigel, much to Caroline’s discomfort. In an almost farcical description of bluff and second guessing, Lizzie doesn’t really want to talk about Nigel’s concerns of her non-affair with Hugh, but Caroline thinks that they really should talk.
• Graham and David are discussing the possibility that Simon might be prepared to accept a compensation package for Brookfield as the police call the Estate office looking for Simon …..
