  • Jack is worried about the shoot, but as it turns out Bert makes a very good job of it.
  • Lynda is trying to get in on the Christmas Fayre – she wants to sell roasted chestnuts.
  • Lizzie’s plan to oversee the café bar for Nelson over Christmas has worked, and Nelson will definitely be going to Spain. Nigel has agreed reluctantly.
  • Eddie wants John to talk to Sharon again to persuade her to tell the truth about Clive’s visit, but John doesn’t want to get involved with her again.
  • John (in desperation) is seeking any information about Hayley from Kate, but she gives him the cold shoulder.
  • Lizzie comes to talk to Kate about her abortion. Kate listens politely, but later throws a complete wobbly at Debbie for breaking her confidence. Kate has decided to go away over the weekend to be alone to sort it out for herself.
