Tommy’s skilfully avoiding his college work with the old “it’s reading week” ploy. Eric’s not working too hard either, all that running around has left him immune to Gloria the Gilt’s charms.
Pat and Tony suffer a little crisis, some of the conserve they use in the yoghurt was, through no fault of their’s, not organic and Pat decides to shoulder the blame and realises that she’s losing her grip too often. Hayley gets in the middle and is snapped at – but is apologised to later, as they all discuss pigs and Pat and Tony praise the job she’s doing.
Brian’s put Greg into one of the holiday cottages until Sammy’s cottage becomes free, although Usha’s going to try and avoid Sammy having to be put into council housing.
Richard and Usha are on the road to patching up the differences – until Richard puts his foot in it again. She bemoans his apparent lack of detachment over Daniel and he defends the role of friends when the family smoothers you and she says that she would quite like to be smoothered occasionally …
