- The kids from the vicarage (“Townies” – W. Grundy) spent the night removing gates.
- Lynda’s requests for traffic-calming measures were turned down by the council – they suggested signs from the parish council.
- William fails to interest Usha in the mis-splet number-plate BRE 1F ….
- Bert and Tom are at each others’ throats again over the bats in the belfry, Tom has put up a stuffed owl and some mothballs, with Janet’s agreement, but after being called a hypocrite by Bert, he leaves in a huff.
- Mrs Barraclough’s son is going through her house and wants to speak to Richard, he seems uneasy with both the will and his mother’s treatment.
