Characters: Brian, Debbie, Greg, Pat, Shula, Tony, William
- William’s round at Home Farm, at the behest of his mother, to introduce himself to Greg. Much to Debbie’s chagrin, Greg, in no uncertain terms, sends him away. She’s not happy about this, thinking that William’s a good lad and worth helping along, but Brian gives Greg his support.
- Pat and Tony are facing up to reality and seeing that they’ve got to pull things around if all their – and John’s – hard work isn’t going to go to waste due to a lack of attention. They’re also concerned about Tommy, as suspected it wasn’t his reading week and it seems that cricket (he’s twelfth man this week) and the boar are all he’s interested in at the moment. Tony’s going to give him some net practice on Friday and will talk to him then – neutral territory!
- Shula’s worried that when she told Alistair to stop crowding her he might have taken it the wrong way, she admits that she’s missed him and that she’s very glad that he’s invited her out (to go for a walk) tomorrow.
