Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Joe, Richard, Simon, Usha

• Richard is not looking forward with confidence, Usha’s trying to take his mind of the hearing with a Divali celebration and the prospect of a visit from her family.
• Eddie is stilling hassling Simon, who is still showing a distinctly lucklustre desire to get things moving with the insurance company.
• The Grundys are starting to feel the strain, especially at Eddie’s plans and Simon’s tardiness, and things won’t improve in the short term as Shula’s temporary cover is known from old and can’t be called an ally.
• The bonfire goes ahead – and the Grundys turn up, and as Eddie said, “Call that a fire? Not a patch on ours!”
