• Brian is not happy with Kate and Roy’s plans – blaming Roy for leading Kate astray – and it transpires that Mike and Betty know as much as they do about them, both sets end up blaming the other!
• Majorie and Janet are cleaning the vicarage in readiness for the visit of the city kids, Mike refuses to lend furniture, but Richard offers his instead.
• Richard is down after the death of an elderly cancer patient, Mrs Barraclough, who died minutes before her son arrived to be with her, although he had helped deliver a baby which would have his as a second name
• Brian wants to throw Kate out of the cottage and intends to tell Peggy that her investment will be funding a life of drugs and squalor!
