  • Tommy’s already starting to take college easy, it’s only the second day and Pat’s not happy at his lackadaisical attitude. He’s also not keen on the fact that Christine’s working party for re-decorating the village hall is due for tomorrow, but he’s little choice in that matter.
  • Pat’s off to Cheshire on Thursday to look at a cold store. She offers Clarrie more hours in the newly expanded dairy, although Clarrie’s not sure she wants them.
  • William’s distraught as he and Eddie discover Ginger Spice dead in the field. He’s angry at Eddie for not paying more attention yesterday, but he not sure there’s much they could have done. The vet confirms it wasn’t anthrax, but the post-mortem results won’t be for a few days.
  • It’s the last nets before the cup final and Sean is under some pressure. A good turnout and Tommy is showing more enthusiasm for his off-drive and off-cutters than on his Biology and Geography A levels! Tony relays to Sean that the team would like the newly re-installed Mrs Antrobus to score, but Sean had promised the final to Martin Taylor, despite his unpopularity with the team. He’s not giving anything away regarding the team selection either, in spite of Tony pleading Tommy’s case.
