• Nigel’s very unhappy, Lizzie was traipsing around entertaining Hugh leaving him to work the weekend single-handed – although Lizzie defends herself because she didn’t want Hugh to get a bad impression of the chaotic Lower Loxley. They bicker, especially when Caroline’s name is mentioned.
• Lots to do at Brookfield. Ruth and David discuss changes. David agrees with Ruth’s plans, but wants Phil’s input.
• Clarrie’s envelopes haven’t arrived and Eddie’s trying to work out how to transport the milking bail without spilling the beans over needing a big trailer.
• David’s being hassled by Simon and Graham for the Grange Farm projections. It seems that the figures are mixed. He’s working on them when Eddie arrives managing to hide them behind a screen-saver …. Eddie asks to borrow a trailer and convinces David he’s not selling defunct farm machinery. He “doesn’t tell” David about it, who guesses and wants nothing to do with the situation.
