Characters: Debbie, Jennifer, Nelson, Phil, Shula, Susan, William
- Nelson’s music has changed again – to an ambient CD of Kate’s, although it’s a little soporific for Nelson, but at least it’s not Shane’s Prodigy CD!
- William is still trying to sell the pigeons – first to Nelson and then to Jennifer, with no success.
- Mr Rodway wants to meet Shula on Monday – although she’s going to be busy with a meeting about the dry rot in the business units so won’t be able to.
- Shula is due to meet today with Simon to discuss her plans for Grange Farm, which include asking the Grundys to do the building and to increase their dairy herd from 40 to 60 cows. Although whether they’ll like more work for the higher rent and the consequent neglible increase in income is as big a question as whether Simon is interested in an increase in income or getting the Grundys out ….
- William, although doing a good job helping Debbie with the sheep, arrived early Friday afternoon and is giving distinct signs that he shouldn’t be there ….
- Phil is concerned at Simon’s potential reaction to Shula’s plan, telling her about the question put to David by Simon about the possible expansion of the estate contract. This is academic when Simon’s secretary from Leamington rings to say Simon is there and not going to make the meeting with Shula anyway.
