  • Kate is back, and the van has been sold to a garage because it has broken down and the repair bill was too high. Brian seems to think this is a scam so that they would return with some money, Mike is sure that they were ripped off. Jennifer thinks that Brian would subsidise the repayment to Peggy, although Brian isn’t so sure, especially as he suggests (forcefully) to Roy that he would be better off getting a job and getting some money than applying to university.
  • Neil and Mike decide to expand the strawberry operation, although not by as much as Mike wanted. Neil is being more assertive these days, he’s still sore from being trampled on by John.
  • Simon is causing Susan misery, although he’s in Leamington at the moment, so she’s pleased about that. The planning permission for the units is due to be discussed soon, which might cheer him up.
