• A good day at the BYO, following a generally good season, leaves Roy regretting last year’s incidents and Mike thinking of expansion, although John wants to to expand the pig enterprise and Neil is stuck in the middle.
• Neil is still unsure about the falafel venture, he thinks that Roy is wasting his year-off and might lose interest in University, Richard allays some of these fears. Mike refuses to let Roy out of working at the weekend in the face of Kate’s pleas to go to a gig for a recce.
• Usha has agreed and signed the contract with Jefferson-Crabtree, and is a bit happier having moved Richard’s furniture to storage with Mrs. A. (although teases Richard that she’d sold it first!)
• Kate points out some home truths to Debbie, her pay, conditions, life when Debbie confronts Kate over the cottage and her business plans. Debbie meets John in the Bull to discuss his pay, but ends up meeting more people all celebrating various forms of success.
