• Having decided against going to the Dower House for Christmas, Clarrie’s working her way up to telling Caroline – only then she hears from Shula how lonely Caroline’s feeling and how much this would cheer her up and she changes her mind.
• The church is all set for the Christingle service – and Tom’s new crib is superb.
• Joe offers Mrs Antrobus his reclining chair in order to try to raise some money – unsurprisingly, she refuses!
• Richard is still fretting over not hearing from the GMC yet.
• The service goes ahead, with doting parents admiring the children’s procession.
