- The water company that had been on Bridge Farm are wandering around Brookfield now, Phil rings the company to be told only that nothing has been decided yet.
- Tony and Eddie are in the Bull at lunchtime, Eddie’s pleased because he’s heard that the police are questioning Terry Fielding – but Clive overhears and is sure that Eddie is still in a heap of trouble. Strong words, strongly spoken, but no fisticuffs this time.
- Uncle Tom is moving out of Keepers Cottage tomorrow to be with Pru at The Laurels.
- Eddie’s selling an extra turkey to Phil (Ruth’s parents having only recently been invited to spend Christmas with them) when DI Coverdale turns up. Eddie’s expecting the worst and wants to call Usha, but the good officer has some news ….
- Clive’s annoying George outside the shop. He’s very threatening as he reminds George that the penalty for an improving memory could be meted out on a dark, cold night now he’s back at work. George is having none of it, but it improves as DI Coverdale appears, Clive tries to run, but George is handy with his stick. Clive is read his rights and arrested for GBH.
