Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Jason, Kathy, Pat, Sid, Tony
- People are looking forward to the debut match for the Ambridge Bulls, although Eddie thinks that his name, the Ambridge Sharpshooters, would be better for the Boules team.
- Kathy and Sid are still at slight odds over the cooking, her point is on the sharing of workloads, specifically over Jamie. Sid says that he’ll do his share and his first chance to prove it will be that afternoon as Kathy heads to Borchester.
- Jason’s at Bridge Farm to do some preparation for the dairy extension, he’s a busy lad as he’s got work on at Brookfield too. Pat doesn’t want her schedule compromised.
- During the Boules match (which the Edgeley Foxes win, although it was close) Jamie is not sleeping and is being passed aroud the pub as Kathy and Pat, still in Borchester, sit and mull over their similar differences. Kathy admits that Sid does have a point and, later, she relents but insists that they will need help with Jamie if she is to cook for the new restaurant.
- Tony’s been talking to Peggy who has offered to put up an interest free loan of half the cost of Bridge Farm. Pat admits that this is good, but wants a few days to mull it over.
