Characters: Brian, Eddie, Hayley, Jack, John, Pat, Usha

• Hayley asks Pat if, in spite of everything, they can still be friends? It’s quickly obvious that Pat doesn’t have a clue what Hayley’s on about and, without telling her why, Hayley remedies that situation – fleeing the moment John appears.
• John attempts to brush his mother off, but after seeing Hayley’s reaction, this is a futile effort. Eventually, through a mixture of confession and coaxing, Pat discovers the reason and, after telling John what a fool he is, does receive an amount of sorrow and, seemingly, genuine regret.
• Usha not pleased that DI Coverdale visited Eddie yesterday and promises to have words. Good words it turns out, apparently the blood in Eddie’s van was animal, not human.
• Jack proves once more than there’s a hard edge beneath his soft cuddly persona as he berates Brian for explicitly contradicting his instructions for over last Saturday’s shoot, telling him that if this was Brian’s way of trying to prove the viability of a common shoot it failed.
