  • Peace is breaking out at Brookfield as both Phil and Jill tire of their feud, Jill sees how hurt Phil was and he can see why she did what she did. While they’re still not in agreement on that issue, they agree not to fight any more. They’ve more important things to deal with, like, no matter what their opinion, they are going to have to help Kenton out of his mess. Jill’s spoken to Mel on the phone and they get on well.
  • Hayley’s looking after Jamie as Kathy heads into Felpersham – although this is a surprise to Sid who finds himself minding the pub single-handedly. He’s apologised for his behaviour, but it’s not enough, the restaurant and the pub are just not want Kathy had in mind – she was in Felpersham to see about getting back into teaching.
  • John bumps into Hayley in the Bull, although she’s in a hurry to meet Roy. He mentions that the two of them are spending a lot of time together, to which Hayley says she’s got no time to say more than he’s just a friend who was there for her in time of need.
  • Phil and Jill have decided to pay Kenton’s first tax demand, £4,000, half as a (very late) wedding present and half as a loan. Kenton’s flabbergasted and genuinely thankful, he’s hoping to head home soon. He fully intends to return, make it up to Mel and really succeed this time. Phil and Jill are happy too, their kids might be grown up, but at least they’re able to be there for them when they’re needed.
