Characters: Betty, David, Jolene, Marjorie, Ruth, Susan
- David and Ruth are enjoying a quiet break with Josh when Marjorie drops round to give the baby a gift – Teddy’s silver christening rattle. It’s a fabulous gift and they’re both unsure as to whether they can accept it, but Marjorie is sure. David’s in Ruth’s bad books because he’s bought a large amount of a feed going cheap without her consultation.
- Jolene’s line-dancing class, which is becoming quite popular, has been double booked in the village hall so they relocate to the Bull’s function room which. While noisy, it’s popular with Sid, who’s so glad to have a busy bar that he’s offered her a regular booking free!
- David convinces Ruth that he’s not trying to sideline her, she’s also worried about Pip, who’s growing a little jealous of her new younger brother. Their tiredness though is set to continue because, as Ruth points out, Josh is in their new version of normality.
