Characters: Betty, David, Jill, Lynda, Mike, Phil

• The hens are still causing trouble at Brookfield – mostly with David who isn’t happy at the effort (and guano) involved in penning them up.
• Lynda’s all for having Clive involved in the play (he’s served his time &c.), although Betty and Mike aren’t sure. While Betty’s eventually won round by the argument that they’re in different sections of the cast/crew and there’ll be plenty of supervision, Mike’s all for stopping her from taking part.
• The general concensus was of a magnificent effort with fete and how will Jill top it next year?
• Jill and Phil are worried about David, he’s in a bad mood, mostly bubbling from the undercurrents associated with the situation with Brian. There’s nothing they can do now, but Phil’s going to visit Brian to see if they can get some clarity on the future relationship between Brookfield and Home Farm.
