Ed tried reason but Will’s attitude convinces him to support Emma all the way.

Radio Times: Will and Emma reach stalemate.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Caught in the act! Kenton has called on Alistair while Shula is at church and found him playing internet poker – of course he hasn’t played for weeks. Kenton persuades him to continue with the hand but, although he wins, he will not play another.
  • Will is a few minutes late bringing George home which does not help Ed’s case in trying to persuade Emma to agree to him going to Tenerife. Emma is astute enough to realise that Ed is just doing his mother’s bidding.
  • Alistair has had a hair-raising ride to The Bull in Kenton’s courtesy car. Once there he discusses cart design with Sid; Alistair, being a pressed man in this matter, hasn’t started yet. There is plenty of rivalry, centred on Jamie, on the part of both Sid and Kenton; each is interested in what the other is building.
  • When Will turns up, a slanging match ensues. Will takes delight in rubbing in the fact that he is in a position to take George on holiday but Emma and Ed are not.
  • Kenton succeeds in winding Sid up, making him believe that something close to Formula 1 is under construction, and he has a sly look at Sid’s masterpiece. Both quietly decide that a redesign is called for.
  • Will has not helped his case. His attitude has galvanised Ed, who had been trying to do what’s right for everybody, into resolute support for Emma. William is not going to get his own way on this one!
