Vicky worries about her unborn daughter. Jazzer finds a new roof. Fallon craves a relationship.
Radio Times: Vicky makes a confession. Meanwhile, Fallon is feeling lonely.
Characters: Fallon, Jazzer, Jim, Kirsty, Lynda, Vicky- The baby blanket that Lynda is making comes with a lecture on the art of llama wool spinning; it’s a welcome relief from drumming up support for auditions. However, Vicky’s thoughts are clearly elsewhere; she is quite upset.
- Jim gently puts it to Jazzer that he cannot stay at Christine’s. It’s not practical: she is a light sleeper and couldn’t get back to sleep after Jazzer had gone to work.
- Vicky explains that her friend Dawn had shown pictures of her daughter on a gap year and it made her realise that her own little girl will never be able to do such things.
- Kirsty and Fallon are having an early evening drink at Jaxx – actually Kirsty is keeping an eye on the place until Kenton arrives – before Ifty takes her out to hear a new band. Fallon admits she misses the buzz of running the pub.
- Jim’s solution for Jazzer – short term – is to offer his own spare room; it’s only for a few days after all. Jazzer explores the rules. Smoking – no; friends staying over – no; loud music – no, unless it is Mahler or Bruckner. If they treat each other with respect and consideration at all times Jim thinks they will be fine.
- Fallon sees her friends all around her in twos; right now she will head back to Ambridge alone, though she declines Kirsty’s offer of a lift with her and Ifty. Fallon wants a relationship too and is fearing that buying a cat is the only option on the horizon.
