Josh is delighted, but then comes the bombshell – it will cost him £1200. He does his best to sound upbeat, but realises he will have to ask his parents for help. Phoebe suggests asking Hayley for better terms, but Josh refuses; he will sort this out for himself. On his return home he asks David if they can discuss the offer on Friday.
- At Bridge Farm Alistair begins testing the herd. It goes well until he finds just one reactor, and an inconclusive one at that. Alistair has no option but to put in a report. They may have to wait 60 days before the movement order is lifted, which would be in the middle of harvest. Tom is angry; Tony just sounds weary. Either way, Pat will have to be told.
- Fresh from his course, Ed arrives to start shearing David’s ewes. Josh then arrives and is keen to help by rolling fleeces. Could he have an ulterior motive? Although it is tiring work, Ed enjoys himself. Jazzer, on the other hand, is developing his own technique, which includes a smoke break and singing to the sheep.
