Helen goes to see Rob again and they both say they want to be together.
Radio Times: Brenda’s in touch and Oliver is looking forward to a holiday.
Characters: Helen, Ian, Jolene, Lilian, Mike, Oliver- Oliver is still worrying that Caroline is overdoing it but at least they have a holiday to look forward to.
- Mike is impressed to hear that the wedding will be at Lower Loxley, though she admits it is at mate’s rates. But when Lilian appears in the pub and interrogates him about Brenda he makes a swift exit. Jolene tells her that she shouldn’t say anything to him. Lilian is feeling a bit lonely but she has to admit that Anthea, however annoying, is turning out to be a bit of a treasure. And she certainly knows the business.
- Brenda has called to say she is back in the UK but Mike is still being very cagey about where she is and where she’s been when talking to Oliver.
- Ian and Helen meet over a drink. Ian tells Helen he’s glad Caroline is back in charge. Lynda can get rather officious. Ian admits he’d hoped it wouldn’t just be the two of them – he had invited Rob but he cried off at the last minute. He teases, unknowingly, that Rob cried off once he knew Helen would be there which rather startles Helen and she is surprised to hear he hasn’t gone to Hampshire for the weekend. So she leaves rather rapidly and calls Rob and insists she is coming round.
- Rob tells her it is so good to see her, he thinks about her all the time. They both want to be together but Rob says it isn’t possible for them to be together until he has sorted out the situation with Jess. But Helen doesn’t care, she’s a grown woman and she knows the situation. And so, we discreetly draw a veil…
