Shula tells Daniel that Reg has died but is interrupted by Darrell at which point Daniel disappears.

Characters: Daniel, Helen, Kirsty, Lynda, Patrick, Rob, Shula- Kenton has agreed to join Lynda’s play as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Lynda is telling Rob in the shop when Helen appears to make a delivery. She tries to make an escape but Lynda won’t stop talking about the play and suggests that Kirsty joins Rob for a rehearsal with Patrick of the love duet.
- Daniel has been out drinking with friends. Shula has to apologise to him for the damper put on his birthday meal. He says it’s fine and he can put up with Darrell for a few more days.
- Helen is still getting wound up about Rob acting as if nothing had happened. She still wants to tell Jess but Kirsty says she mustn’t lash out. Helen insists she was really in love with him and is just empty without him. Kirsty insists if she wants a bloke, there are loads of decent ones out there. Helen can’t think about that just now. She passes on Lynda’s request about the love duet rehearsal. Kirsty doesn’t know how she will cope.
- When Daniel gets back from his hack, Shula has to tell him Reg has died. Daniel is very upset. Shula tells him how proud he was of him. She is trying to console Daniel when Darrell intervenes with a letter from the Council. He doesn’t understand again about the deposit bond so Shula has to leave Daniel to explain things again.
- The rehearsal of the love duet doesn’t seem to have enough passion for Lynda. There is no chemistry. After the rehearsal, Kirsty asks Patrick to make up a foursome with Helen and he suggests Friday.
- Shula is anxious later as she is going to bed. Daniel hasn’t come home and she doesn’t know where he is.
