Radio Times: Eddie comes to the rescue and Jess wants to be friends.

Characters: , , , ,
  • Back from milking, Ed is able to report that he has heard of a farmer with a litter of puppies, collie/black lab cross. They both seem really sure that this will put everything right with George.
  • Jess is at Ambridge Organics ordering everything she needs for the party; Kirsty takes over serving her, allowing Helen to make herself scarce. See you both on Thursday! Helen is not looking forward to witnessing their domestic bliss, though if she had been a fly on the wall recently, maybe getting rid of Rob would not seem such a bad thing.
  • Ed has surprised an intruder in the cider shed. It’s Darrell. Eddie is called and they fix him up with blankets and a heater but he declines going back to Keeper’s Cottage; they are not happy about leaving him there but he won’t be budged. Is it really such a great idea leaving him alone in the cider shed? Eddie is determined not to turn his back on Darrell; we all have low points and he remembers that people helped Ed when he was at his.
  • Helen is having an afternoon off, spending time with Henry; they meet Emma and Keira on the Green. Susan has given in over the puppy, it being for George, and Emma is excited that she and Ed will look at the litter tomorrow.
  • Helen and Kirsty’s night out starts in The Bull with a Kenton special cocktail; they could do without Jess’s company and decline the offer of another drink, Rob being at the bar. They leave in haste.
