Carol and Jim attend a party undercover. Lynda and Lilian clash during the first rehearsal.

Characters: Carol, Jim, Justin Elliott, Lilian, Lynda- Carol and Jim attend Justin Elliott’s party with intent to learn more about the plans of Damara Capital.
- Lilian shows up unprepared for her first rehearsal. She is shocked that Lynda wishes her to memorize her lines before the end of the week. Lynda also explains her tragic interpretation which bemuses Lilian.
- Carol discusses wines with Elliott and confesses that she once owned a vineyard near Borchester. Elliott reveals that he wishes to establish a vineyard in the area soon. He also plans to build a house of his own design. We finally learn the extent Justin Elliott’s plans for Brookfield farm.
- Lynda and Lilian continue to argue over Noel Coward’s intentions. The play is Coward’s answer to Henry V, rhapsodises Lynda. Lilian bleats that it is only a bit of fun.
- Jim and Carol show up very late at Lynda’s home to share the results of their espionage. Jim spoke to a construction manager who revealed that Route B is just the start. A services area is planned along with multiple warehouses accompanied by CCTV cameras and 24 hour lighting. Ambridge will become unrecognizable. Lynda vows that this will happen only over her dead body. Poor Lynda faces a war of two fronts: Lilian and Justin Elliott.
