Will the show be alright on the night and will Roy ever mend fences?
Radio Times: Phoebe is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and Charlie has a suggestion for Adam.
Characters: Adam, Charlie, Kate, Lynda, Phoebe, Roy- Blithe Spirit tickets are almost sold out. Lynda muses with Roy about the lack of rehearsal time and it’s technical rehearsal tonight which does not go well. An extra rehearsal tomorrow is in order and she could do with Roy working a double shift to allow her some time off. He agrees.
- Kate and Adam spend time together reminiscing and Adam attempts to explain the dynamics with Charlie Thomas. Kate deliberately misinterprets the examples her gives and teases Adam. Adam’s not looking forward to the BL party tonight at Grey Gables.
- Roy is desperate to see Phoebe before Christmas and rushes over to see her on his break from work. His attempt to make peace is rebuffed, after his insistence that she opens his Christmas present. It’s a tablet and Kate has already bought her an iPad. She throws it back in his face, saying that no amount of money could buy her forgiveness and it’s not likely to happen anyway on his receptionist wage. Kate arrives as Phoebe is leaving, and she and Roy come face to face. Strong words are exchanged about their respective parenting skills. Roy wishes that Phoebe would move back in and this would demonstrate to Hayley that he is serious about putting things right. Adam later tries to smooth over whatever Kate may have said to upset Roy, although it’s not Kate who upset him, but Phoebe.
- Adam opens his Secret Santa gift at the BL party, while Charlie Thomas looks on from behind his: a Johnny Depp mask. Adam’s is a personalised hip flask. Who would have done that? Charlie compliments Adam on how much he’s learned from him. He’s admires Adam as a farmer and hopes there are no hard feelings over the outcome of the contract. Charlie is keen to make a night of it and go to a club, which Adam declines.
