Bridge Farm’s troubles seem set to continue; Home Farm’s soil seems set to blow away.

Radio Times: Tony faces the music, and Kate is bored.

Characters: Adam, Brian, Jennifer, Kate, Mr Wallace (HSE), Pat, Tony

• Adam and Brian discuss the parlous state of the soil at Home Farm. Meanwhile Tony is worrying about his interview with the HSE Inspector. He has been advised to have a solicitor present. Pat tries to reassure him, she believes there is no risk of a custodial penalty… only a fine.
• Kate moans to Jenny about the amount of time Phoebe is proposing to spend with Hayley over the Easter period. Still, in attempt to contribute to family life, Kate offers to do all of the cooking over the holiday. Somewhat taken aback, Jenny agrees.
• Brian and Adam discuss the Home Farm soil again. Having just worked it, Adam is convinced that action needs to be taken immediately and at any cost, in order to prevent Brian handing on nothing but a “dust bowl”. The situation is critical.
• Tony has an “under caution” interview with the HSE Inspector. He remembers little about the events leading up to the attack. His judgement with regard to moving the animals seems to be called into question. Meanwhile, at Home Farm, Brian hears of Kate’s plan to cater for the Easter period. Clearly, a vegan Sunday meal doesn’t commend itself to him and he calls Jenny’s judgement into question.
• Kate meets a worried Adam, who is concerned about possible soil erosion. She can’t believe that such a thing could happen in Ambridge. Still, when she has finished her course, Kate will be able to tell Adam exactly where he’s going wrong. So that’s all right then.
• Tony’s interview is over and not before time. The Inspector will collate the evidence and establish whether there are grounds for a prosecution! It could take up to two months to reach a conclusion. There could be a substantial fine. Tony is distraught. It’s yet another stain on Bridge Farm’s good name.
