Rex returns and is furious. Helen takes a call and is more forthcoming. Ed looks at sheep and is thoughtful.

Radio Times: Helen takes a call, and Rex goes in search of answers.

• Meeting Rex in the shop, Eddie confronts him about the cricket fiasco. Rex is quick to point out that he was away at a wedding so had not said he could play. Eddie and Ed are off to look at some Texels, so cricket is quickly forgotten.
• A noticeably more cheerful Helen tells Kaz she has had a better night with Jack. Kaz does much to keep Helen’s spirits up, chattering about her work in the unit’s hairdressing salon, and telling Helen that all she has to do today is answer questions. Helen wonders if she should have her hair cut before the video link hearing.
• Helen’s phone conference gets under way, and at last she seems to get her thoughts straight. She says that Rob acted strangely at times; that he made Henry throw the toy rabbit away; that he could be very strict with Henry at times; that he banned Henry from their bed when he was bed-wedding because of incidents at school – and that Rob and Ursula had investigated boarding school without any reference to Helen. Towards the end it became all too much, and all Helen can say is that Rob had ways of getting what he wanted.
• Eddie is very impressed with the sheep and encourages Ed to go ahead with their purchase. Ed is rather more sensible in his thinking. With the need to leave Grange Farm, maybe he should use the money as a deposit on a rental. Eddie urges him to take a risk. On their way they notice Solstice revellers heading for Home Farm.
• Rex returns to the chicken enterprise and immediately takes Toby to task. Where have the extra 75 birds come from? Why were the drinkers empty? Toby dismisses all this, of course, and claims they will now be able to fulfil the contract they appeared to have lost. Rex is furious. How dare he take Neil’s hens. More revellers are spotted heading for Home Farm.
