Radio Times: Toby reaches the end of the road, and Emma comes under fire.
Characters: Emma, Harrison, Pip, Rex, Toby, William- Toby is trying to tell Pip about his dreams but she clearly isn’t at all interested. Toby can make his own coffee. He wants some sympathy but Pip just doesn’t think he gets it. Her mother isn’t still talking to her. Toby says Ruth is being unreasonable but Pip say it is all down to her. Toby thinks it will all be over in a couple of days. Pip just tells him to shut up. He isn’t helping.
- Will is still sulking about the cricket team – they are a man down. Harrison says Lily will be fine but then Adam is out badly. Will is not happy.
- At the cricket, Toby tells Rex he has to take the gin still down. He can’t believe what a tragedy it is. He can’t get a loan and he isn’t taking Kenton’s money. Rex is astonished to hear that Kenton has offered him real money. He isn’t going to rebrand it as Archer’s gin and Pip isn’t talking to him so he isn’t having a fun day. Rex recommends that Toby takes the money, whatever it takes. And he has noticed how upset Pip is so maybe Toby needs to go easy on her.
- Will tells Emma at the cricket that she is looking worn out – all those nights at the chicken factory. Will says George has been talking to him. He’s not happy with Emma being away – why doesn’t George stay over with him an extra night a week. Emma is very annoyed but Will is called to bat.
- At the end of the cricket Lily is doing well but then gets hit on the elbow. Will is complaining about girls on the team and then Emma lets loose at him too, telling him he doesn’t need to worry about George, he gets all the intention he needs. Ambridge lost but Lily outscored him. Nothing stops him sulking, especially when it is mentioned that Anisha will be back next week. Will says he won’t be at nets.
- Toby talks to Rex later. It is all about compromise. So he has to work on a deal with Kenton and he has to make things up with Pip. He apologise again. Pip says it was her responsibility. She wants Ruth to be proud of her and to make things better but if she won’t even speak to her, what can she do?
