• Hayley is very excited, much more than John, about the prospect of the cottage, he’s still concerned with the reaction of the parents, who’ve been laying it thick!
• A photographer is at Lower Loxely but Lizzie doesn’t see the point of a new brochure. She’s a little concerned about Caroline’s involvement and they’re still sniping. Simon interrupts the argument and comments on Archer women’s tempers! Later they (Nigel and Lizzie, not Simon and Lizzie as someone recently asked me 🙂 kiss and make up as she agress to throttle back on the consultancy.
• Ruth’s still in a mood from the other day, David’s trying to make up it though. Simon agrees with their reluctance to expand the milk and sets up a meeting to show Brian around around the Low Input Farming (LIFE) field!
• Later David explodes at Ruth’s suggestion that Phil might start to take a back seat?
• The cottage that Hayley’s looking for is April Cottage, next door to Uncle Tom and, unbeknownst to Hayley, owned by Peggy! Hayley is smitten and tells the estate that they will take it! John grudgingly accepts the situation but, when told exactly what property she’s talking about is adamant that it cannot happen – Peggy definitely won’t approve of their cohabitation.
