Characters: Caroline, Chris, Jack, Peggy, Richard, Shula, Usha

• Jack and Peggy wine and dine a couple of Underwoods directors to try and get them to donate some money to the church bells appeal. They agree, and also offer to provide the clothes for a fashion show in aid of the appeal.
• Shula, in her new role as partner, is looking into ways of saving the stables money and suggests rubber flooring rather than straw, it would recoup its costs within a year, but Chris isn’t sure that the horses wouldn’t notice.
• Caroline reports on her conversation with Alistair to Shula. His bringing up Robin has affected her, although Shula’s not any further along the track, but at least there does seem to be hope.
• Richard pays a visit to Usha, seeking some sort of closure and to bid final farewell. She really doesn’t want to make it so easy on him and is unwilling to absolve him. To rub salt in, when he asks when it would be convenient to collect his furniture she reveals that, so as to remove his influence on the cottage, she’s given it all away to a charity shop.
