• Tony’s trying (and succeeding) in getting Sid involved in the cricket merger debate. He’s belittling Sean’s standing as a captain because he’s in favour of the merger and Tony (and Sid) isn’t. Sid’s four-square behind the anti camp and agrees to them using the function room on Friday to meet.
• Nigel’s collecting jumble from Shula’s (it’s in aid of the church bells) and they chat about life and he says that he’s glad that she and Alistair have resolved things. He collects some from the Bull, mostly childrens’ books and toys, but Kathy was throwing Sid’s whites out – which he rescues at a price of a donation!
• Usha’s Aunt Satya appears on her doorstep to take her neice in hand. She protests that she’s ok but, apparently, the warning signs are there and, besides Satya will have to stay because it’s too late and too dark for an old lady to drive all that way home!
• Alistair’s seen a barn owl and he, Shula and Daniel are off to try and see it. Huddled under a blanket they make out this perfectly white, almost magical looking bird. What an idyllic wholesome threesome they make too.
