• Julia’s adopting some economies, even extending to trying to find the local scouts to use their service for delivering her Christmas cards and she seems most put out when the local scout master isn’t happy on delivering them to Spain for 10p each! Nigel’s less than convinced about her cost-cutting when he sees the extravagant cards she’s sending. (“Well you have to have standards, darling” “But, Mummy” ….)
• Usha and Ruth are enjoying a evening of relaxation, which they’ve not done since before Usha passed her exams. Ruth’s explaining that she’s keen to do some of the consultancy work that she mentioned last week, meanwhile Usha’s been experimenting herself with Salsa dancing at a club in Felpersham with a colleague from work! She and Ruth push back the furniture and Blossom Hill Cottage reverberates to Latin sounds!
• Shula and Alistair have been shopping for their wedding bands and have decided on small pre-wedding parties – no riotout stag dos – but are still undecided about the marital home.
