Radio Times: Alistair and Anisha need to work together

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Ian is totally shocked to hear that Kate has offered to be their surrogate. Adam is astonished to find that Ian thinks it is exciting. If she can leave all her own children behind she’s more likely to give up their baby! Adam really doesn’t think it is a workable idea. Ian is still processing it. Maybe.
  • Alistair and Anisha are working together on a horse. Alistair is more concerned about Hilda Ogden having another appointment. She needs another bell fitted. Anisha is missing the cricket a bit but is pleased to have her life back and more time with Rex. They also chat about Christmas when the horse finally goes under the anaesthetic. Part way through the operation, the horse stops breathing and has no pulse. The owner is shocked and upset. Did they get the weight right? Did they give him too much? Anisha is still worried but Alistair says it was a one on a million. And then Anisha has to charge off to Glasgow again.
  • Eddie is amazed that Noluthando is over and only 16. Eddie remarks that you never know where you are with Kate, which gives Ian food for thought.
  • Pip reminds Josh that they need to get presents for Jill. Josh says he has it in mind. Eddie visits Brookfield to collect his money from Josh. Strangely enough, Josh isn’t there. But he has a chat with Pip. He’s found out something interesting – Shy Colin has some apple trees belonging to his Uncle who died before he could use this year’s apples. Eddie can have them for free. Josh does turn up and pays Eddie when a car turns up which Josh is taking for a test drive. It’s quite an item. Ed would love to drive something like that.
  • Ian had a bad day. The rota went wrong. Joey isn’t managing and Oliver is coming back. Adam talks to Ian about Kate. He is prepared to give her a chance if Ian thinks it is right. But Ian agrees. This is Kate they are talking about. She still thinks she is some sort of earth mother and there is no way she would let them bring up the child the way they want to. She’ll be bad enough as an Aunt. But how shall they tell Kate? Talk to Jennifer? Or Alice? Whatever they do, Kate will need careful handling.
