Characters: Adam, Darrell, Ian, Matt, Pawel, Pip, Rosa- Matt catches Darrell before he sets off for the Walters’ house. Darrell has serious misgivings about Matt’s reasons for wanting to do the house up, but agrees to take a look.
- As Pip brings the cows in for milking, Rosa asks if she or Josh know where a rave is going to be held. Pip, sounding like a bossy six year old, asks if Rosa has an invitation; Rosa asks who needs one. When Ruth rings Pip later, she is assured that everything is fine.
- Adam returns from work to find Ian and Pawel swapping cookery stories amidst gales of laughter. Adam is edgy and not happy to find Pawel in the house. When Ian mentions the gossip about Harry, Adam realises Ian has failed to pick up on Pawel’s sexuality.
- As he leaves the Walters’ house, Darrell finds Matt waiting. He tells Matt he is not happy; Matt’s actions seem like harassment. With a veiled threat, Matt suggests that it would be a shame if Darrell felt unable to do as he is asked. Maybe Darrell should go home and change his mind…
- Now that Ian has ascertained Pawel’s gay inclination, their evening at Honeysuckle Cottage becomes ever more hilarious, while Adam’s mood becomes ever darker. Pawel tells then they are lucky to be able to live as they do; maybe they could all go out and find some gay clubs. Adam does his best to slide out of any arrangement, but Ian is oblivious to all his signals. Reluctantly, Adam has to agree to a few drinks after the pickers’ party.
- A depressed Darrell returns to find that Elona has bought Rosa her scooter. He fails to share her excitement, knowing that he has a difficult decision to make.
