• Eddie’s repairing an old bicycle so that Clarrie can participate in the forthcoming sponsored bike ride in aid of the church. As Alistair, who has been treating a mastisis case in the herd, leaves Brian arrives to have a word with Eddie about the lorries dumping rubble at Grange Farm. It seems that Eddie’s using a loophole in the law that demands a tax paid to dump this at official sites, to use the rubble to improve the roads on the farm …. and there’s nothing that Brian can do!
• At court, the judge makes the order confirming Roy’s parternity but, despite pleadings from her parents, Kate refuses to even contemplate an out of court settlement. Roy’s distraught, but Usha advises patience.
• While testing the bike Eddie almost crashes into Shula and Daniel. They’re doing the ride too and Alistair appears again, Shula instantly seeing a chance to put her good plans into action …. but no, even with the offer of borrowing an old bike of David’s, Alistair refuses the invitation.
