All of Bridge Farm except Tom are relieved that the deal with Matt has fallen through.

• Jennifer and Pat are having a catch up chat when Jennifer asks why Tom has pulled out of buying Brian’s share of the business and it comes as a total surprise to Pat. Pat confronts him and Tom admits it has all gone wrong and confesses it was Matt. Pat is completely astonished. And she is even more surprised when she hears he has sacked Brenda as well. His only choice now is going to be to try to finance it himself. Tom is still totally depressed but the family all think it’s a luck escape.
• Meanwhile the consultant is surveying Bridge Farm to see if will be possible to introduce the lagoon system for disposing of waste. It is all looking very promising.
